Fish oil Omega 3 fatty acids play an essential role in our body’s health and vitality. Find out the expert facts and scientific information that can help you choose the best fish oil supplements for an optimal and vibrant health.

Mainly found in fish oil Omega 3 fatty acids are an important part in a healthy diet plan. Omega 3 fatty acids play an essential role in brain functions, optimal heart functions, joints and other important functions in our body’s system.

Our body makes use of omega 3 fatty acid eicosanoids that control cell division and growth in the body. Fish oil Omega 3 fatty acids are the most easily used by the body. They are not produced by our body and therefore need to be supplemented from external sources of food.

Coronary heart disease is totally absent among the Eskimo community. What might be the reason for that? This question led to the study of fish oil Omega 3 by scientists. At first, the prevailing thought was that a diet rich in fat would lead to a greater incidence of atherosclerosis.

But then, the debate of good fat versus bad fat began. The diet of Eskimos was found to be rich in fatty fish such as salmon. This is quite different to the common Western diet which is rich in fatty beef, chicken and other types of meat that do not contain Omega 3 fatty acids.

Omega 3 fish oil lowers the triglyceride levels in the bloodstream. A high triglyceride level along with high cholesterol is the precursor to heart disease.

Medical experts state that a healthy diet should have a balance between Omega 6 and Omega 3 fish oil fatty acids. And the average Western diet is too rich in Omega 6 and very deficient in fish oil Omega 3s, as fish is not consumed in adequate quantities.

So, it becomes essential to add pure fish oil supplementation to a healthy diet in order to achieve the benefits of Omega 3 and keep the balance of Omega 6. The optimal ratio is considered to be 1:1, but the typical Western diet has a ratio of 20:1. It means that there is too much Omega 6 in their diet. Health experts say that this is a sign of a looming health disaster for millions of people.

So, what are the essential things that you should consider when buying fish oil Omega 3 supplements?

Firstly, look for purified or pharmaceutical grade fish oil in the supplements. This is necessary because the oceans are contaminated with a high level of pollution and toxic elements such as Mercury, PCBs, lead, etc, which are the result of decades of unabated Industrial pollution. Fish oil Omega 3 supplement that has been molecularly distilled will be free of such contaminants.

Secondly, look for fish oil Omega 3 supplements that contain high levels of DHA and EPA fatty acids. They are essential to provide optimal health benefits.

Visit my website to gain deeper insights into what makes the best fish oil Omega 3 supplements. Find out the amazing benefits that fish oils can give to your health and how they can give you a sharp mind and a healthy body most effortlessly.

More and more it is becoming apparent how important omega-3 fatty acids are to health. But is it really necessary to supplement?

First you have to understand that supplementing with Omega-3 fatty acids does not give you “extra” of these beneficial fats. In fact, most supplementation recommendations probably give most people the minimum they need to balance the other fats in their diets. Studies of different indigenous societies (with low rates of chronic diseases like arthritis and heart disease) typically consume omega-6 and omega-3 fats in about a 1:1 or 2:1 ratio:1 to 2:1. Currently in the United States, that ratio ranges from 20:1 to more than 30:1!

Why the huge difference? First of all, grains and most commercially produced vegetable oils are primarily omega-6 fats and these are staples in the modern American diet. In addition, the main dietary source of omega-3 fatty acids in the diet of Americans used to be from poultry, eggs, meats, and fish. What do I mean used to be? Don’t we still eat those foods in relatively large quantities? Yes, but what those foods are being fed has changed.

In the past, meat and poultry products were from animals that ate insects and/or plants that were available naturally in their environment. Plants and insects have high levels of omega-3 fats, so the animals eating them are going to be high in omega-3 fats too. Today though, most commercially raised meat, poultry, eggs, and even farm-raised fish, are fed primarily grain – which is high in omega-6 fats, not omega-3’s, so the meat, eggs, and fish are also high in omega-6. This combined with our own tendency to eat a lot of grain-based foods has led to a dramatic shift in the ratio of fats in our diets.

This shift in the dietary fat ratio with very little omega-3’s being consumed sets us up for a wide variety of health problems. Because omega-3’s are essential to a number of biochemical processes, the lack of these important fats has led to a general increase in problems that include depression, inflammatory conditions (such as arthritis and allergies/asthma), and cardiovascular disease. There is even speculation that a lack of omega-3’s may be at least partially involved in the development of neurodegenerative disorders and some types of cancer.

With the exception of the unusual person who does not eat a lot of grains and also consumes mostly free-range meats and wild game/fish, I highly recommend supplementing with 1000 mg of omega-3 fatty acids every day. Omega-3 supplements are usually made from fish oil, or may be from krill oil. Either way, as long as you make sure to buy from reputable companies that use independent labs to certify the purity and potency of their supplements, you will be fine.

For those who are strict vegans and do not consume animal products of any kind, I suggest using flax seed oil supplements(at least 1000 mg per day). Flax oil is not high in omega-3’s but the fats in it can be converted to omega-3 in the body in most individuals. There are some people who cannot efficiently make the conversion to the needed omega-3’s, and if you are having problems with depression and/or inflammatory conditions despite taking flax oil, you may want to consider fish oil, or you may want to try walnut oil (which is high in omega-3’s). Another option is to try evening primrose or borage oil , as these contain fatty acids that don’t require as much conversion in the body to produce omega-3 fats.

There are 3 main types of omega-3 fatty acids: Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and Alpha-Linolenic acid (ALA). They are considered essential as they are not produced by the body and therefore must be derived from food. It is of the upmost importance for people to have a rich dietary intake of omega-3. Omega-3s especially EPA and DHA are found abundantly in marine oils. As a result many companies have developed fish oil supplements to provide consumers with the omega-3 that their diet lacks.

These fish oil supplements due to technological limitations and cost were formulated using the conventional way of extracting omega-3 from fish by applying heat and/or chemical solvents. It is now suggested that omega-3 fatty acids extracted this way might have isomeric byproducts (chemically altered components that form under heat) or residues from the chemical solvents.

It is also becoming increasingly apparent that while these supplements contain fish oil, they lack purity, which means that in most cases they contain only as little as 30% omega-3. And we know that it is omega-3 not fish oil that provides the extraordinary health benefits.

The good news is that there are now purer omega-3 fish oil products available. recoup|90 an omega-3 sports supplement, is produced with the most pure omega-3 fish oil in the world using environmentally friendly, proprietary super-critical fluid technology. This technology applies pressure instead of heat or solvents which allows for the production of omega-3 fatty acids of unsurpassed quality and purity, while ensuring that there is no risk of formation of isomeric byproducts, of exposure to contamination and of residual solvents in the end product.

To ensure the product is of the highest purity it is required to meet 50 stringent purity parameters. The main purity tests concern oxidation products such as peroxides, heavy metals such as cadmium, mercury and lead as well as pollutants such as PCBs, dioxins and pesticides.

Sports medicine experts have been among the first people to discover the huge disparity between pure omega 3 products and regular fish oils found in retail stores. As a result today an increasing number of athletes and active individuals take only high quality and pure omega-3 fish oil.

They have also discovered that unlike regular fish oil supplements, pure omega-3 fish oil products that contain as much as 300% higher concentrations of omega-3 deliver additional therapeutic benefits such as accelerated post workout recovery and a reduction in muscle and joint soreness.

Recognizing the value of pure omega-3 fish oils in sports, recoup|90 was developed and released as the world’s first omega-3 sports supplement. recoup|90 contains a remarkable 90% omega 3 making it the purest omega 3 sports supplement available. recoup|90 is a product of excellent and unsurpassed quality and purity. Its unique formulation not only provides active people with the well documented cardiovascular and health benefits but also due to its pronounced anti-inflammatory properties it effectively helps accelerate post workout recovery, and reduce muscle and joint soreness.

We have all heard about the benefits of essential fatty acids, such as Omega-3, 6 and 9. But did you know that your body can make it’s own Omega-9 from the foods we eat? It can’t however make the other two. Our bodies cannot manufacture the essential fatty acids we need, so we have to make sure that the many sources available are included in our diets. Below is a list of common foods that contain Omega-3 and Omega-6.

Dietary Sources of Omega-3

·flax / walnuts

·oily fish

·seal

Dietary Sources of Omega-6

·plants and vegetables (especially in cooking oils)

Unless you consume a lot of oily fish, you are probably not getting your daily Omega-3 requirement. Omega-6 on the other hand is in abundance. So mush so that our diets actually contain too much Omega-6. An easy way to get more Omega-3 into your system is through supplements, which there are three types. Below is an explanation of the three types of Omega-3 supplements available on the market today.

Flax Oil

Flax oil is a non-marine source of Omega-3 and contains the Omega-3 called alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which the body needs and cannot make for itself. Several other sources of ALA do exist, most notably walnuts and hemp seed. However, because flax only yields ALA, which then must be converted into EPA and DHA by the body, it is not an effective source of Omega-3 for the following reasons:

·Converting ALA into EPA and DHA is not very efficient, especially as one gets older

·Bodily conversion of ALA results in low levels of EPA and DHA

·Flax oil contains no DPA, the third main component of Omega-3

·Flax oil is high in Omega-6, something our bodies do not need

The estimated rate of ALA to EPA and DHA conversion ranges from 5% to 25%. This means in order to make sufficient amounts of EPA and DHA, one would need to consume 5 to 6 times more ALA than you would if you were to use fish oil alone.

Fish Oil

Whether you are eating fish or taking fish oil supplements, fish has been known to contain numerous health benefits, especially fatty species that are rich sources of Omega-3 fatty acids. Proven benefits range from lowering triglycerides and blood pressure and the risk of heart disease, to the more subtle effects of reducing chronic inflammation. Fish oils provide a direct source of EPA and DHA. There are, however, some problems with fish oils:

·High in Omega-6

·Low levels of DPA

·Fish are susceptible to chemical pollutants and dioxins in the water

Seal Oil

Seal oil is one of the best and most direct sources of EPA, DHA and DPA, the third component of Omega-3. While DPA is present in some fish and fish oils, the levels are much lower than seal oil, about 1/5. Seal is oil has been found to be the best source of Omega-3 for the following reasons:

·Seal oil contains the highest levels of DPA (up to 10 times more than fish oils)

·It is chemically similar to the Omega-3 found in our bodies

·Seals can filter out chemical impurities better than fish

Unlike both flax and fish oil, seal oil has only traces of Omega-6, and may be one of the best Omega-3 supplements to reduce the imbalance of Omega-3:Omega-6.

Researchers in the 1980 ‘early; s noticed cultures that consumed many fish in the deep cold water had very little occurrence of heart disease despite their high dietary fat. After much research it was discovered that fish are rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids omega-3.

In this article, we will discuss how fish oil may fight heart disease and how it can help strengthen the heart. In addition, we will discuss other benefits of fish oil in Omega 3 can have on the body and how you can get Omega 3 with out the consumption of fish. Also, determine the time the brand of fish oil you are consuming contains toxins or not.

Most think that all fats are bad for your health, but in fact there are actually good fats out there. All natural fats are mixed with several kinds of fatty acids. These fatty acids are composed of carbon atoms with short and long chain. These atoms with long chain and short arms that seem to reach out. If the carbon atoms with hydrogen are limited fatty acid is considered saturated.

The long carbon chains that are consolidated with other double chains of carbon atoms are considered unsaturated. The fatty acid chains have at least two or more double links are called polyunsaturated. Polyunsaturated fatty acids such as linoleic acid are classified when there is a double bond at the sixth carbon atom from the end of Omega. When this happens the polyunsaturated fatty acid is called an omega-6 fatty acid.

The Linolenic acid is a double bond in the third carbon atom from the end of this is called Omega and Omega 3 fatty acid. Linoleic and linolenic acid is necessary to sustain life. Although some fatty acids can be produced by the body, Omega 3 and Omega 6 can not be manufactured and should be eaten in our diets. Linoleic acid is abundant in American diets, found in commercial baked goods, cooked, processed foods, vegetable oils and margarine. Is that most Americans lack the oil Omega 3.Fish contains eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), two components of fish oil derived from linolenic acid. EPA and DHA have impressive health benefits.

For starters, the fatty acids are important for healthy cell membranes. The control of the cell membrane which incorporates and leaves the cells in our body and protects the cell against danger. Depending on our diets (American diets are high in saturated fats), our cells can cover mainly the saturated fatty acids with hydrogen. The membranes of saturated fatty acids are usually packed closely together and with other cell membranes become rigid and stiff. If your diet consists of many polyunsaturated fatty acids, their cell membranes are more flexible, curved structure in nature and have a more elastic.

This is because polyunsaturated fatty acids have double bonds between carbon atoms and the chains of carbon atoms have lots of space between them. When a cell membrane is more flexible is healthier than saturated fat membrane stiff and rigid. Fish oil Omega 3 has been studied in depth the area of heart disease. Impressive results with fish oil has been shown to decrease the risk of heart attack and to reduce blood pressure. A recent study examined men who lived in Finland. The men consumed a fairly high level of EPA and DHA in adiet there and experienced a 44% reduction in the risk of acute heart attacks compared to men who consumed very little EPA study DHA.

Another blood pressure and Fish Oil Omega 3 found that supplementation with EPA and DHA helped inpiduals with hypertension. Blood pressure fell by 6 points during the experiment. (6) Fish oil Omega 3 has been shown to reduce other risk factors such as low levels of serum triglyceride and total cholesterol levels which are both risk factors of heart attack. One study showed that postmenopausal women can reduce there risk of heart attack by 27% when taking the fish oil omega-3.

EPA and DHA in fish oils may also combat some diseases such as asthma, multiple sclerosis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and cancer. Studies have shown that Omega 3 fatty acids may help improve asthma in children and increase survival rate in cancer patients. (9.10) of fish oil can also fill gaps and increase the food weight in cancer patients. Low levels of DHA have been linked to depression, people who have complemented the fish oil Omega 3 has noticed an increase in mood and relief of symptoms of depression. Fish oil Omega 3 can even help with mental illnesses like bipolar disorder. One study suggests that fish oil may help with rheumatoid arthritis.

With all these advantages you might consider fish at every meal. Not all species of fish have levels of EPA and DHA. Anchovies, herring, mackerel, salmon, sardines, and tuna have the highest levels of Omega 3 fatty acids per ounce of meat out of any other animal in the bush to the sea. The people who were originally studied in the fish oil was the native Inuit, she consumed more than 4 to 5 grams of EPA each day. That ’s equivalent to 1.5 – 3 pounds of fish each day. Even the most avid of dining fish might find hard to eat that much fish each day on a constant basis. With all the illegal entry into the ocean could be a concern of fish harvested for fish oil Omega 3 could contain toxic chemicals which are discharged into the ocean each year.

The purity of a supplement of fish is important. Due to concerns raised by toxins in fish oil, the companies have manufacturing plants there refined treatment of fish oil and now distilled fish oil that removes all heavy metals like lead and mercury, and toxic insecticides such as DDT. Look for a supplement product that demands made of a 12-step distillation process to remove toxins, dioxins and furans and PCB ’s and other contaminants. A supplement rich in Omega 3 fatty acids are the simplest way to achieve the appropriate amounts of EPA and DHA we need in our diets.

Taking 1000mgs oil Omega 3 fish one can reject a wide rang of disease. Look for a supplement of fish oil to mix with a little vitamin e oil is an antioxidant that preserves the fish oil and prevents it from going rancid. The fish oil supplements provide health benefits powerful and can help those with asthma, multiple sclerosis, lupus, systemic erythematosus, and cancer and are a good option as a preventative supplement even if you don ‘t suffer from these diseases .

Fish oil Omega 3 and other great supplements can be found in your local store for healthy food store or the Internet of healthy food.

There is sufficient evidence these days of the need for Omega-3 in your diet.

“Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Omega-3 fatty acids-found in fish oils- seem to increase the number of PARS, which will help reduce your inflammation (my knees). We recommend you get Omega-3s in the form of three to four ounce servings of fish per week or a 2-gram fish oil capsule a day or an ounce of walnuts a day.” (Page 95 YOU on a Diet, by Dr. Oz) The American Heart Association recommends 2 servings of fish per week and according them, 75% of Americans do not consume the recommended amounts in their diet. Omega-3’s have also been known to improve circulation, learning and concentration as well as promote healthy joints and skin. Foods found with Omega-3’s include olive oil, canola oil, fish oils, flaxseeds, avocados, and walnuts. Depending on your eating habits, you may or may not need a Omega-3 supplement. We eat olive oil everyday, walnuts in our oatmeal and fish fairly regularly. However, if these items are not in your weekly lineup, then a supplement could be an option for you.

Recently, I had the opportunity to try the GO3 Original Omega-3 which is endorsed by David Beckham. We also got to try the junior version GO3 which are chewable gelatin tablets flavored with strawberries. The Omega-3 concentrate comes from anchovy, sardine and mackeral. In addition, there are Vitamins A,D, E incorporated in the formula. My son is four and he tried it once and spit it right out. Couldn’t stand it. He will take it if I squirt the liquid in his mouth- but won’t eat the vegetarian capsule. I’d say on average he eats 3 bites of fish on fish night and doesn’t eat walnuts- so he for sure needs a supplement.

As far as supplements go, I do not know how to determine a good supplement from a not so good one. If you can’t get the required amounts through your diet, then a supplement should be considered. Readers, please feel free to offer up your advice on this subject, as I do not feel qualified to form an opinion on the subject.

Pricing and Availability

A 30-day supply of GO3 Omega-3 fish oil supplements, in unique adult and junior formulas, are available for $21.95. Shipping and handling plus applicable sales tax will be added based on order size and state of residence.

• GO3 Original Omega-3 fish oil supplements are available in packages of 60 individually-sealed capsules made from vegetarian-friendly fish gelatin.

• GO3 Junior Chewable Omega-3 fish oil supplements are available in packages of 60 individually-sealed capsules. Each chewable strawberry flavored capsule is enclosed in fun soccer field- illustrated blister packaging.
